Affliction Warlock

The priority

1. Haunt — when it is ready
2. Agony — when it is missing or ending
3. Corruption — when it is missing or ending
4. Dark Harvest — with your damage over time up, below 3 shards
5. Summon Darkglare — with your damage over time up
6. Drain Soul — at 2 nightfall stacks
7. Unstable Affliction — with a soul shard
8. Drain Soul — as a filler

Common mistakes

• Letting Agony fall off.
• Sitting on 5 Soul Shards.
• Summoning Darkglare before your damage over time is up.

What’s simplified

• Each turn is one decision (about one global cooldown). Cooldowns and buff durations are converted to turns, so timing is approximate.
• Priority order follows SimulationCraft’s default priority list for this build, simplified to the abilities modeled here. Costs, cooldowns and effects come from Blizzard’s spell data. Rule wording is our own.
• Soul Shards cap at 5. Agony grants a shard 30% of the time each turn it is up; Unstable Affliction and Seed of Corruption cost 1 (spell data).
• Corruption gives Nightfall (an empowered, instant Drain Soul) 15% of the time each turn, stacking to 2.
• Durations in turns: Agony 12, Corruption 9, Haunt 12, Darkglare 13. Cooldowns: Haunt 10, Dark Harvest 30, Summon Darkglare 40.
• Malefic Grasp, Malevolence and Shard Instability are not modeled.
