Demonology Warlock

The priority

1. Call Dreadstalkers — when it is ready
2. Summon Demonic Tyrant — with dreadstalkers and imps out
3. Power Siphon — with 1 demonic core or fewer
4. Demonbolt — at 3+ demonic cores
5. Hand of Gul’dan — with 3 soul shards
6. Demonbolt — with demonic core, below 4 shards
7. Shadow Bolt — below 5 shards

Common mistakes

• Summoning the Tyrant with no demons out.
• Capping Soul Shards with Shadow Bolt.
• Letting Demonic Core stack to the cap.

What’s simplified

• Each turn is one decision (about one global cooldown). Cooldowns and buff durations are converted to turns, so timing is approximate.
• Priority order follows SimulationCraft’s default priority list for this build, simplified to the abilities modeled here. Costs, cooldowns and effects come from Blizzard’s spell data. Rule wording is our own.
• Soul Shards cap at 5. Costs from spell data: Hand of Gul’dan 3, Call Dreadstalkers 2. Shadow Bolt gives 1 shard, Demonbolt 2.
• Hand of Gul’dan summons 3 Wild Imps (they stay 10 turns). Demonic Core (instant Demonbolt) stacks to 4 and comes from Dreadstalkers and imps: a 35% chance per turn while either is out.
• Cooldowns in turns: Call Dreadstalkers 10 (they stay 8), Summon Demonic Tyrant 30 (stays 10), Power Siphon 15, Implosion 8.
• Grimoire: Imp Lord, Summon Doomguard, Ruination and Infernal Bolt are not modeled.
