Devastation Evoker

The priority

1. Dragonrage — when it is ready
2. Eternity Surge — when it is ready
3. Fire Breath — when it is ready and its burn is ending
4. Disintegrate — at 2 essence bursts
5. Disintegrate — with essence burst or 3 essence
6. Living Flame — as a filler

Common mistakes

• Letting a third Essence Burst go to waste instead of spending one.
• Casting Disintegrate before Eternity Surge and Fire Breath in Dragonrage.
• Using Disintegrate on a big pack instead of Pyre.

What’s simplified

• Each turn is one decision (about one global cooldown). Cooldowns and buff durations are converted to turns, so timing is approximate.
• Priority order follows SimulationCraft’s default priority list for this build, simplified to the abilities modeled here. Costs, cooldowns and effects come from Blizzard’s spell data. Rule wording is our own.
• Empowered spells (Fire Breath, Eternity Surge) are one press here; empower ranks are not modeled.
• Essence caps at 5 and regenerates 1 every 3 turns. Essence Burst (free Disintegrate or Pyre) is a 20% chance from Living Flame and Azure Strike, certain during Dragonrage, and stacks to 2.
• Cooldowns in turns: Dragonrage 40 (lasts 12), Eternity Surge 12, Fire Breath 12 (its burn lasts 8), Deep Breath 40.
• Unbound Flame, Azure Sweep, Burnout, Shattering Star and Hover are not modeled.

Flameshaper (no Mass Disintegrate): the build SimulationCraft’s default list uses when Mass Disintegrate isn’t talented. Scalecommander is not modeled. Reviewed Oct 20, 2026. A training aid, not a damage simulator.
