Vengeance Demon Hunter

The priority

1. Fiery Brand — before a big hit
2. Metamorphosis — before a big hit, if fiery brand is down
3. Soul Cleave — when you’re low
4. Demon Spikes — when it’s not up
5. Sigil of Flame — when it is ready
6. Immolation Aura — when it is ready
7. Metamorphosis — when it is ready
8. Fel Devastation — at high fury
9. Soul Cleave — at high fury or 4+ soul fragments
10. Fracture — when it has a charge
11. Soul Cleave — with fury to spare

Common mistakes

• Letting Demon Spikes fall off.
• Capping Fury or Soul Fragments.
• Using Spirit Bomb on a single target instead of Soul Cleave.
• Pressing Fiery Brand after the big hit.

What’s simplified

• Each turn is one decision (about one global cooldown). Cooldowns and buff durations are converted to turns, so timing is approximate.
• Priority order follows SimulationCraft’s default priority list for this build, simplified to the abilities modeled here. Costs, cooldowns and effects come from Blizzard’s spell data. Rule wording is our own.
• Soul Fragments are shown as a counter (up to 5). Fracture makes 2; Soul Cleave eats up to 2 and Spirit Bomb all of them.
• Fury: Fracture +25, Sigil of Flame +30, Immolation Aura +20. Soul Cleave costs 35, Spirit Bomb 40, Fel Devastation 50.
• Demon Spikes has 2 charges here (one every 13 turns) and lasts 4 turns.
• Big hits and low health are scripted moments in each lesson, not a full damage model.
• Cooldowns in turns: Fracture 2 charges every 4, Sigil of Flame 20, Immolation Aura 20, Spirit Bomb 17, Fel Devastation 27, Fiery Brand 40, Metamorphosis 80.

Aldrachi Reaver, following SimulationCraft’s priority. Reaver’s Glaive, Art of the Glaive and Soul Carver are not modeled. Reviewed Oct 20, 2026. A training aid, not a damage simulator.
