The priority

1. Voltaic Blaze — when it is ready
2. Ascendance — when it is ready (burst)
3. Crash Lightning — when it is ready
4. Stormstrike — during doom winds
5. Tempest — with tempest at 10 stacks
6. Lightning Bolt — at 10 maelstrom weapon
7. Stormstrike — when it is ready
8. Lava Lash — when it is ready
9. Lightning Bolt — at 5+ maelstrom weapon, nothing else ready
10. Tempest — at 5+ stacks, nothing else ready

Common mistakes

• Spending Maelstrom Weapon at 5 while a strike is ready — you lose damage per cast.
• Letting stacks cap at 10 while pressing generators.
• Holding Crash Lightning for packs only; it belongs on cooldown in single target too.

What’s simplified

• Each turn is one decision (about one global cooldown). Cooldowns and buff durations are converted to turns, so timing is approximate.
• Maelstrom Weapon generation is simplified: +1 per turn from auto-attacks, +2 Stormstrike, +1 for other strikes.
• Tempest appears after 40 Maelstrom Weapon is spent; Doom Winds is a fixed 12% roll on spending outside Ascendance.
• Elemental Tempo is modeled as a 1-turn refund on Stormstrike and Lava Lash when spending 5+ stacks.
• Thorim’s Invocation, Static Accumulation, tier-set effects and the Totemic hero tree are not modeled.
