About this module

The priority

  1. Flurry — with brain freeze
  2. Frozen Orb — when it is ready
  3. Ice Lance — with fingers of frost
  4. Ice Lance — at 6+ freezing
  5. Ray of Frost — when it is ready
  6. Flurry — when a charge is available
  7. Frostbolt — as filler

Common mistakes

  • Sitting on Brain Freeze instead of pressing Flurry.
  • Pressing Ice Lance with no Fingers of Frost and few Freezing stacks.

What’s simplified

  • Each turn is one decision (about one global cooldown). Cooldowns and buff durations are converted to turns, so timing is approximate.
  • Preview: Method (Aug 11) and Icy Veins (Oct 12) order Frozen Orb, Fingers of Frost Ice Lance, Flurry and Ray of Frost differently. This module follows Icy Veins, the more recently reviewed source.
  • Freezing gains per spell and proc chances are simplified estimates. Capping Freezing at 20 is normal and is not treated as a mistake.
  • Glacial Spike, Comet Storm, Thermal Void, Splinterstorm and the 12.1.5 Splitting Ice fixes are not modeled.

Sources

Spellslinger, single target only. Glacial Spike, Comet Storm, Thermal Void and Frostfire are left out until they can be verified. Reviewed Oct 15, 2026. A training aid, not a damage simulator.
