About this module

The priority

  1. The Hunt — when it is ready
  2. Reaver’s Glaive — when ready, with no empowerment waiting
  3. Chaos Strike — with rending strike
  4. Essence Break — during metamorphosis
  5. Blade Dance — inside essence break
  6. Chaos Strike — inside essence break
  7. Eye Beam — when it is ready
  8. Blade Dance — when it is ready
  9. Chaos Strike — to spend fury
  10. Felblade — at 80 fury or less
  11. Immolation Aura — when a charge is available

Common mistakes

  • Pressing Chaos Strike outside Essence Break when Eye Beam is about to come up.
  • Throwing Reaver’s Glaive while Rending Strike or Glaive Flurry is still waiting.
  • Using Essence Break outside Metamorphosis.

What’s simplified

  • Each turn is one decision (about one global cooldown). Cooldowns and buff durations are converted to turns, so timing is approximate.
  • Priority order follows SimulationCraft’s default priority list for this build, simplified to the abilities modeled here. Costs, cooldowns and effects come from Blizzard’s spell data. Rule wording is our own.
  • Automatic glaive hits (they show up as Throw Glaive damage) are not button presses, so they are left out, along with Shattered Souls pickups.
  • Eye Beam (30 Fury, 13-turn cooldown in the trainer, an approximation of its talented cooldown) grants Metamorphosis for 6 turns: Chaos Strike becomes Annihilation and Blade Dance becomes Death Sweep.
  • Blade Dance has a 4-turn cooldown (spell data: 15 seconds before talents; shortened here to stand in for cooldown reduction). Essence Break lasts 3 turns.
  • Fury caps at 120 and passive generation (Demon Blades, soul fragments) is a flat 22 per turn. Felblade adds 40.
  • Reaver’s Glaive becomes available every few turns (a 30% chance per turn, an approximation). Vengeful Retreat, Initiative and Inertia are not modeled.
