Holy Paladin

The priority

1. Blessing of Sacrifice — before a big hit on the tank
2. Aura Mastery — before group damage
3. Word of Glory — when the tank drops low
4. Holy Shock — when the tank is low and you lack holy power
5. Flash of Light — when the tank is low and holy shock is down
6. Divine Toll — when three or more allies are hurt
7. Light of Dawn — when three or more allies are hurt
8. Avenging Wrath — when it is ready
9. Light of Dawn — at 5 holy power
10. Holy Shock — when it has a charge
11. Flash of Light — with infusion of light, on a hurt ally
12. Word of Glory — with holy power, on a hurt ally
13. Judgment — when it is ready
14. Crusader Strike — when it is ready
15. Flash of Light — on a hurt ally

Common mistakes

• Sitting at 5 Holy Power.
• Holding Holy Shock charges.
• Letting Infusion of Light expire.
• Pressing Blessing of Sacrifice after the big hit.

What’s simplified

• Each turn is one decision (about one global cooldown). Cooldowns and buff durations are converted to turns, so timing is approximate.
• SimulationCraft doesn’t model healing, so these priorities are our own, written from Blizzard’s spell tooltips and long-standing healing practice. Costs, cooldowns and durations come from Blizzard’s spell data. Treat it as a starting point, not a final word.
• The party is five allies. Injuries, a low tank and incoming group damage are scripted moments in each lesson, not a full health model: heals move allies from injured to healthy, and overhealing is not tracked.
• Holy Power: Holy Shock, Judgment and Crusader Strike give 1 each; Divine Toll gives 3. Light of Dawn and Word of Glory cost 3.
• Holy Shock has 2 charges here (one every 4 turns) and gives Infusion of Light 30% of the time.
• Cooldowns in turns: Crusader Strike 3, Judgment 7, Divine Toll 40, Avenging Wrath 80, Blessing of Sacrifice 80, Aura Mastery 120.

A party heal that also fights in melee. Beacon of Light is assumed on the tank. Hero talent effects are not modeled. Reviewed Oct 20, 2026. A training aid, not a damage simulator.
