About this module

The priority

  1. Explosive Shot — when it is ready
  2. Volley — when it is ready
  3. Trueshot — when it is ready
  4. Aimed Shot — during trueshot, without precise shots
  5. Rapid Fire — without precise shots waiting (or in trueshot)
  6. Kill Shot — with precise shots, below 20% health
  7. Arcane Shot — with precise shots
  8. Aimed Shot — when a charge is available
  9. Kill Shot — below 20% health
  10. Steady Shot — below 90 focus
  11. Arcane Shot — to spend extra focus
  12. Steady Shot — as a filler

Common mistakes

  • Pressing Aimed Shot again while Precise Shots is waiting.
  • Sitting on Volley or Explosive Shot on single target.
  • Capping Focus with Steady Shot while Aimed Shot has charges.

What’s simplified

  • Each turn is one decision (about one global cooldown). Cooldowns and buff durations are converted to turns, so timing is approximate.
  • Priority order follows SimulationCraft’s default priority list for this build, simplified to the abilities modeled here. Costs, cooldowns and effects come from Blizzard’s spell data. Rule wording is our own.
  • Aimed Shot is instant in the trainer and recharges in 6 turns (2 charges), an approximation of its talented recharge. In game it has a cast time.
  • Rapid Fire is a single turn with a 9-turn cooldown (an approximation of its talented cooldown). In game it is a short channel.
  • Focus caps at 125 (an approximation of the talented cap) and regenerates 12 per turn. Steady Shot adds 20.
  • Lock and Load is a 12% chance per turn and makes the next Aimed Shot free.
  • Moonlight Chakram, Sentinel’s Mark, Bulletstorm and Kill Shot outside execute range are not modeled.
